Report On The Activity Of The Adopt European Project

ADOPT (Angular Dependence Optical Properties Measurements), was funded by the Standards, Measurement and Testing Programme of the EU and finished its activity in December 1999. The main results of the project concern a remarkable improvement in the inter-laboratory reproducibility of angular transmittance and reflectance measurements on glass sheets for building applications and the development of two algorithms for the prediction of light transmittance and solar factor of a glazed unit starting from near normal transmittance and reflectance measurements performed by a commercial spectrophotometer on the glass sheets composing the fenestration.
