Relative Volatility Of Borate Glasses And Melts Studied By High Temperature Mass Spectrometry

The systematic analysis of the features of the vaporisation processes of the binary borate systems was carried out according to the position of oxide modifier in the Periodic Chart of the atoms. Taking into consideration the observed regularities of vaporisation of borate systems, the existance of calcium borates in vapour over the CaO-B2O3 system was confirmed by the high temperature mass spectrometric method.
