Regenerative Cycle Optimisation Via Physically-Based Dynamic Modelling

Glass furnace efficiency and operational flexibility is often limited by the difficulties that can arise in handling the transient characteristics of the system. Knowledge of the dynamic heat and mass transfer process in such industrial equipment is required for improvement of furnace design and operation which, mainly, is still based on heuristic assumptions.
