Refractory Recycling Developments

This paper demonstrates that refractory recycling from the glass and steel furnaces is an economically and environmentally sound alternative to landfilling. The specific methods used to recycle chromium-bearing refractories will be shown. However, capability exists to recycle many other types of refractory products, including magnesite, fireclay and alumina refractories.
