The Refining Of Float Glass

This paper is intended to review the challenges float glass manufacturers face in achieving the very high bubble quality standards demanded by the current flat glass market. Areas of progress will be highlighted along with areas where further detailed scientific work is required. It is hoped to demonstrate that a number of important questions remain unanswered to the level of confidence required by the float glass operator.
