Recycling Of Tv-Glass: Problems And Perspectives

In Germany there is an "Electronic Waste Order" in preparation and the electronic industry may be compelled to take back waste appliances and arrange for their disposal. Around 5m TV tubes are manufactured in Germany every year and new concepts to recycle these have to be found. In this paper, investigations in recycling TV glasses in a continous glass fibre process plant as a secondary raw material, where the hazardous components are bound in a glass matrix, are examined.
