Recycled Cullet - Important Raw Material For Europe

Recycling and remelting of container glass has reached such a level in Europe that recycled cullet has become the most important raw material in many container glass furnaces. This technology is becoming increasingly important for other glass products, particularly float glass and TV glass. Advantages of remelting cullet - energy savings and economical and environmental benefits and the technical consequences of glass recycling are discussed in this article.
