Record-Sized Float Glass

A recent request from German firm Henze Glas for glass sheets sized 3.21 x 9.00m was taken up by Guardian Flachglas, who was already experienced in the manufacture of jumbo panes. In January 2005, nine large sheets sized 9 x 3.2m, 10mm thick came off the conveyor belt in Guardian's Thalheim plant.
