Raygun To Fight Terror

A laser that detects liquid explosives in glass or plastic bottles was unveiled by British scientists 21 September, 2007. The hand-held device, which can also tell if drink or food has been spiked, is a major breakthrough in the war on terror. Developed at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire, it could lead to an easing of the current security restrictions at airports.
