[Raw Materials] The Importance Of Grain Size In Glass Melting

Theoretically, any decrease in the grain size of raw materials results in the acceleration of the melting process. However, this does not seem always to be the case and problems can arise if an incorrect reaction path is adopted. Different intermediate products can also be formed depending on the grain size of the raw materials. In this article, Frantisek Novotny examines the importance of the correct grain size distribution of raw materials in glass processing.
