Rare Earths Rising In Vietnam

Between 1956 and 1959, with the help of specialists from countries including Russia and China, Vietnamese geologists discovered important deposits of rare earths (RE) in north-west Bac Bo, Vietnam. Intensive exploration took place over subsequent years and large primary RE deposits in five areas were discovered and drilled. This article takes a look at this important supply. The authors believe foreign investment is necessary to reach its potential.
