Rapid Determination Of Fluorine, Down To 0.1 Wt%, In Glas By X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry.

Using a commercial x-ray spectrometer based on a rhodium target thin-end-window cathode grounded x-ray tube, the instrument parameters (notably the pulse-height analyser background are investigated and optimised to permit the routine determination of fluorine down to a 150-ppm detection limit.
