Radiation Effects On The Physical Properties Of Low-Expansion-Coefficient Glasses And Ceramics

The effects of irradiation on the coefficient of thermal expansion, density and elastic moduli of amorphous silica, ultra-low-expansion glass, Beta-SiC, Astrositall and Zerodur were surveyed. Silica and silicon carbide were the most resistant of the materials studied.
