Quantitative Radiographic Phase Analysis Of Quartz, Cristobalite, Tridymite And Glass In Silicate Rocks (In German)

The described procedure allows the routine quantitative radiographic phase analysis of the crystalline main components, such as quartz, cristobalite and tridymite and the direct determination of the glass content or the fused material in silicate rocks. Furthermore methods for the determination of lattice defects of cristobalite and tridymite are mentioned. The parameters of the instrument and the sample preparation are critically examined.
