Hunprenco was established in 1969 & now have over 100 employees including machinists, people skilled in metallurgy, metal coating, production methods & glass container manufacture. Hunprenco has developed materials & production methods to assist the glass industry in its efforts for increased efficiency, reduction in downtime & improved environmentally friendly quality containers. The firm has worked closely with customers to perfect the combination of steel-based plungers coated with quality tungsten carbide, & nickel-based powders, giving excellent hot hardness figures, lubricity & working life. All Hunprenco plungers are produced to exact specification on the latest CNC machines, ensuring repetition of accuracy & quality. HVOF technology is used for coating plungers, robotically applying the coatings at speeds of up to mach 2.
