Quality Control Of Raw Materials

Quality control in the glass industry is of major importance and requires the raw materials used in the manufacture of glass to be at all times of the same consistent quality. As silica sand provides the major incredient in the batch, it is imperative that it is controlled and produced to be as consistent as possible. Most glass making raw materials are produced from naturally occurring rocks and must be processed to ensure such consistency.
