[Quality Control] In-Line Residual Stress Measurement

Optical inspection of glass containers by means of digital image processing has been a standard procedure for several years. For the measurement of residual stress, however, there has been no inline solution. In this article the authors describe an imaging polarimeter system based on an innovative sensor design that closes this gap.
