Quality And Glass Production Improvements Through Statistical Process Control At Fevisa In Mexico

This paper presents the efforts and lessons being learned in applying the techniques of Statistical Process Control in a production line from furnace to packing. The objectives of these efforts are aligned with the strategic priorities of the company. These objectives are learning, quality improvement, better efficiency and pack to melt ratios. The paper also explains how these techniques are being used during the implementation path to bring the organisation from an art and craft environment to a professional world class level of performance.
