Pushing Boundaries In Thickness Control

At this year's glasstec exhibition, TIAMA will present their latest electronic platform, UTM, Universal Thickness Measurement, which can support contactless technologies. The platform comprises a PC equipped with the company's latest image acquisition and processing card, the CALIA3. With its user-friendly Windows interface, using the same concepts as the MCAL4 and MULTI4 vision systems, it is possible to use all TIAMA measuring systems and configure up to four measuring heights as needed. It is also possible to place these measuring probes in any of the machine's stations simply through software configuration. The platform is built into the MX4 to offer all the functionalities of the system, in particular the possibility of displaying all the measurements associated with the mould number for each container. The data can be transmitted to external process control systems for predictive analysis of deviations in a customer's process. The platform can also be used as a standalone with any carousel machines currently on the market. For more information, please visit: www.tiama.eu
