Protocol To Divert Flat Glass From Landfill

A final version of the Quality Protocol for flat glass has been published by WRAP & the Environment Agency (EA). The protocol aims to make it easier for glass manufacturers to source larger quantities of high quality flat glass cullet. It is set to ensure that cullet from waste flat glass meets a 'defined quality specification' & can cease to be waste. Produced following consultation with the UK glass industry & other key stakeholders, the Quality Protocol for Flat Glass sets out to provide collectors, recyclers & processors with a set of practices & standards designed to increase both the volume & quality of flat glass cullet being sold to manufacturers.
