Process control is central to every manufacturing operation because of its dual impact on both quality of production and productivity, in themselves the focus of continuous improvement. Where quality demands are paramount, however, the demands made on process control equipment will inevitably be higher. This paper looks at the forming of screens for TV tubes and the level of control required by current producers.
