The Production Of Heat-Resistant Plate Glass By The Continuous Rolling Method

It is only recently that the USSR has made heat-resistant plate glass by the rolling method, using continuous tank furnaces. On the basis of the processing of different goods pressed from borosilicate heat resistant glass of the "pyrex" type, the melting of which was done in pot and small periodic tank furnaces, a technology was developed for making heat-resistant plat glass by the continuous-rolling method.
