Processing Equipment Suppliers See Sales Rise

There are many Italian companies supplying all sectors of the glass industry, both primary and secondary and the country is particularly well represented by suppliers to glass processors. Processing is an important element in glass production and GIMAV (Associazione Italiana Fornitori Macchine ed Accessori per la Lavorazione del Vetro) is the national association for Italian suppliers of glass processing equipment for both the flat and holloware sectors. In this paper its secretary, Dr Mario Sasselli, gives an overview of the industry, highlighting its growth in production and in exports.
