Process Improvement Through Statistical Control

Attaining world-class competitiveness requires that organizations strive to produce consistent products and take proactive control of their processes, instead of simply reacting to situations. It is through the understanding and reduction of variation through a disciplined approach to process improvement that this will happen. The creation of a multifunctional project team that has the responsibility and authority to improve process stability, the state of statistical process control, and the capability of the process is required. Systems to support the improvement efforts are beneficial in tightly integrating the statistical control philosophy into the operations.
