Process And Product Quality Inthe Production Of Float Glass

This article comprises three parts: The first part is regarding the concept and objectives of process and product quality control, as well as its evolution during the past few years as regards new market requirements; the second part deals with the description of type and origin of defects noticed in the float glass process; and the third part presents a typical QC organisation and supplies a flowchart of the control planning during the different phases of the process, as well as the respective methods applied to sensitive parameters.
