Privacy Glass From Fittings Specialist

The Priva-Lite privacy glass is now available from D R Services as part of its extensive range. The technology, developed by French-based glass giant Saint-Gobain, features the introduction of a liquid crystal interlayer between two sheets of toughened float glass. When an electric current (100 volt AC) is passed through the interlayer, the liquid crystal matrix realigns to totally obscure through vision, though the panel remains translucent with a high percentage of incident light still reaching the other side. Priva-Lite units are available for installation in a wide variety of situations including in doors; screens; partitions and kiosks; as well as specialised security applications. For example, in commercial situations, Priva-Lite might be employed to offer privacy for meeting rooms, applications in banks and secure health units etc.
