Pressing Ahead At Olivotto

Within the framework of its continuous technical development programme, OGT is increasing its presence in the stemware market, with three lines based on the latest generation combined stretching/burnoff machines scheduled for delivery in the coming months. Considerable effort has also been made to the improvement of press machine performance, via a servo-hydraulic pressing system that reduces energy consumption by 80% and the supply of seven presses equipped with Olivotto's super torque motor drive system. With its 86,000 Nm pressing force, this machine is believed to be the most powerful in the market. Several spinning machine innovations, now in their fifth generation, will be launched in 2014. This equipment will be delivered from the Avigliana workshop to an expanding opal ware market.
