Italian-based AMIG's latest 12 station press-blow machine, model PAS-12, is intended for the production of jugs and is equipped with a torque motor to guarantee a longer working life of the drive system, as well as reduced maintenance for mechanical moving parts. The drive system also allows more precise indexing, even after along working time. The machine is capable of producing items with heights up to 250mm and body diameters of 250mm. The maximum mechanical speed is 30 pieces/min. In addition to jugs, large jars, candy jars, ice buckets and flower vases can also be produced. Article shaping and finishing are performed in the first nine stations through gob loading, pressing and spout shaping, blowing, cooling and unloading. The three additional stations are dedicated to mould temperature control with an optical pyrometer, station maintenance or mould change operations and mould cooling. All machine functions can be controlled from a cabinet with touch screen display. The software is user-friendly and is suitable for use by unskilled operators. The same machine is also available as a nine stations version, capable of producing up to 15 pieces/min.
