Preparation Of Pure Silica-Glass Filler For Dental Composites By The Sol-Gel Process

Pure silica glass powder was synthesised by the sol-gel process. It was observed that the resultant wet gel was the reaction intermediate containing siloxane bonds and abundant water. To avoid contamination, the ground gel should be dried fully and heated slowly.
