PPG Industries has published "Comparing the Energy & Environmental Performance of Neutral-Reflective Low-E Glasses" - a white paper that summaries an energy modelling study of four commonly specified neutral-reflective, low-E glasses, including Solarban R100 glass by PPG. The 24-page document, which is based on analysis performed by the Architectural Energy Corporation (AEC), compares modelled energy savings for neutral-reflective, low-E glass in two building types - a 3 story middle school and a 15 story office building - in 12 N American cities. The study showed that, when compared to the leading and next-best-performing neutral-reflective, low-E glass, Solarban R100 glass provided substantial energy savings over a building's lifetime, regardless of climate.
