Ppg Sales Rise

PPG Induestries has published its annual report for 1996 which reveals that sales reached $7.2bn compared with $7.0bn in 1995. Net income in 1996 totalled $744m, a slight rise on 1995, excluding an aftertax gain that year of $24m, from a settlement with Pilkington Plc. Net sales of glass in 1996 totalled $2.70bn compared with $2.65bn for 1995.
