PPG Industries' aerospace transparencies group has been awarded a five-year, USD 50.1 million contract by the Defense Logistics Agency's Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Va., to supply windshields for UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and variants. "As the original supplier of windshields for the Black Hawk, we are pleased that the US government continues to show confidence in our ability to supply exceptional quality transparencies that meet this helicopter's demanding flight requirements," said Brent Wright, PPG Aerospace global business manager for military transparencies. "We are proud to continue supporting men and women in the American armed services as well as the forces of US allies around the world by supplying windshields for the Black Hawk."
