Despite steady growth in the local beer, spirits, food and pharmaceuticals market India's glass container sector continues to register low growth rates, suffering from low capacity utilisation as a number of factors limit glass bottle usage. With an estimated installed capacity of between 11,500-12,00/tpd, the industry is operating at a capacity utilisation between 72-75%.
