On The Possibilities Of Lowering Fluorine Losses In The Production Of Opal Glass

Recent Italian laws in air pollution have raised the question of fluorine losses during the production of fluorine glasses. The simple methods adopted to reduce fluorine losses consists of lowering the opacifier content and replacing sodium oxide and aluminium oxide by the same quantities of soda and hydrated alumina.
