All engravers make a mistake at sometime or other. The drill slips, a scratch appears from nowhere or a design needs adjustment and an expensive piece of glass is probably a write-off because polishing out a mistake is very expensive if it is done professionally and often rather crude if done by the engraver. This author explains a method for polishing out mistakes and starts by advising the engraver to abandon their burrs and bonded polishing wheels.
