Pilkington Building Products UK has launched its latest product in the Pilkington Optimirror Range; Pilkington Optimirror OW, a high specification mirror made on Pilkington Optiwhite substrate to give "A sharper & clearer appearance compared with standard Pilkington Optimirror." Pilkington Optimirror OW, now available in the UK, is made to a superior quality standard & offers more than 93% light reflection on a thickness of 6mm, as well as improved visual clarity. Made using an environmentally friendly process, Optimirror can be used for different types of buildings & applications such as bars, restaurants, shopping & leisure centres, as well as furniture. The range does not use copper & lead in its manufacture, unlike more conventional mirrors, thus providing higher corrosion resistance & improved protection from chemicals & cleaning products. Produced to EN1036 standard, the manufacturing process produces less waste & ensures future recycling is easier. Pilkington Optimirror OW will be initially available in 6mm thickness in sizes up to 3,210 x 2,250 with 4mm thickness available from January 2011.
