Pilkington Goes To University

The Wallace Building, part of the University of Wales at Swansea has undergone major facade renovations that incorporate Pilkington's Insight Therm units. Formally known as the Natural Science Building, the premises had begun to look dilapidated and in need of general cosmetic attention. There was also a requirement to improve its overall energy efficiency. The building containers lecture theatres so it was crucial that any glazing solution enhanced the overall environment and working conditions. Insulight Therm is Pilkington's own range of insulated glazing units (IGUs) and the units installed at the Wallace Building used Pilkington's Optitherm SN low-E coated glass on their inner panes.
