Pilkington To Create 200 Jobs With New Energy Plant In St Helens

Around 200 new jobs could be crated at one of Pilkington's St Helen's plants after the company unveiled plans to build a new sustainable energy facility in the borough. The company, once St Helen's largest employer, announced 29th July it oped to create a state-of-the-art energy recovery facility at its Greengate site on Sherdley Road. If approved, the development will see around 200 jobs created locally during construciton and up to 20 jobs once the plant is operational.
