Physical Analysis Of Glass

The investigations have shown the possibility of examining small changes in glass composition on the basis of measurement of two or three physical properties and assumption of additivity. In the case of investigations concerning the changes of one oxide is necessary to measure only two properties; one obtains the quantitative results using individual coefficients which can be calculated or stated experimentally. For changes of more constituents Isard's method may be used. The calculation coefficients is complicated. The new method does not eliminate the need of chemical analysis.
