Photometric Determination Of Iron Impurity In Glasses And Raw Materials

An extremely sensitive photometric procedure using aqueous solutions of sulphochrome and cetyl pyridine chloride has been developed for determining microquantities of iron in high-purity quartz, silica, sand and crystal glass. A determination can be completed in 2 hours, including time for decomposing the samples.
