Pate De Verre Exhibition At Broadfield House

Broadfield House Glass Museum is to host an exclusive, exhibition entitled "Breaking the Mould: Contemporary Pate de Verre", from 22 July to 15 October 2006, where works from artists from all over Europe, and Japan are featured. Sculptures, vessels, installations and wall plaques will be exhibited, revealing the diversity of this distinctive glass technique. From 19 August to 4 February 2007, the exhibition will feature "A Glass Menagerie: Pate de Verre by Amalric Walter", who is best known for his naturalistic decoration and animal figures made during the height of the Art Nouveau period. A further exhibition entitled "Gifted" will be held 28 October 20 7 January 2007, & will show handmade crafts by British artists including contemporary glass, ceramics, jewellery and art.
