Particle Size Measurements In The Flue Gas Of Glass Melting Furnaces

This article looks are four main EU flat glass producers who have come together to make a common research project in the frame of their collaboration in ICG-TC13 (Tech Committee of the International Commission on Glass/Environment), using Anderson Mark III impactors to measure flat glass furnaces for fine dust emissions before and after the waste gas scrubbing and filter system, in most cases an electrostatic precipitator with an upstream scrubbing system. Different conditions were researched, such as natural gas, mixed and pure fuel oil fired furnaces and waste gas filters working at high and low temperatures. The results are discussed in this paper.
