Oxy-Fuel Furnaces - The Crown Fights Back

Although the advent of oxy-fuel furnaces immediately made life harder for traditional silica crown refractories, refractory producers moved quickly to research materials able to withstand the more "hostile" atmosphere in the furnace's combustion space. This paper details the results of recent tests on one such material.
