Oxy-Fuel Furnace Optimises Tableware Production In Slovenia

Slovenian tableware specialist, Steklarna Hrastnik has closed two of its furnaces (G and H) in preparation for their replacement by a single, larger melter in the coming weeks. Valued at 7M/Euros, the project involves the purchase of an 80-9-/tpd capacity Sorg furnace design, featuring advanced oxy-fuel technology. Burners in the furnace will uninterruptedly supply a precisely defined mixture of natural gas and pure oxygen. Oxy-fuel technology will contribute to a higher glass quality, while an energy efficient production will have reduced environmental impact.
