Oxidation Of Bn/Nicalon Fibre Interfaces In Ceramic-Matrix Composites And Its Effect Of Fibre Strength

Microstructrual changes at the interface were analyzed in two Nicalon-fibre ceramic-matrix composites with a dual BN/SiC coating on the fibres after thermal exposure at different temperatures (800-1400 deg C) and in different environments (air and argon).
