Glass ceramics, prepared by the controlled devitrification of glasses, have become established in a wide range of technical and technological applications, ranging from domestic usage through to heavy electrical engineering and microelectronics. The second part of this overview looks at the use of glass ceramics in joining, a number of minor applications and future uses.
