Oscillopolarographic Determination Of Very Small Amount Of Selenium In Flat Glass

A simple and accurate method is described for the analysis of very small amount of selenium in glass by means of polarographic catalytic wave. The sample is decomposed by hydrofluoric and perchloric acids. In the sodium sulphite-ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid disodium salt (EDTA) - tartaric acid - perchloric acid - potassium iodate system the concentration of selenium is proportional to the peak current. The relative standard deviation of the method is 0.038.
