Optimising The Workability Of Soda Lime Glass Used In The Production Of Containers

Production of glass containers with increasingly lower weight/capacity ratios requires careful consideration to the chemical and physical characteristics of the glass. Low expansion coefficient combined with a relatively high cooling time and an appropriate interval between gob and devitrification temperatures are prerequisite for a smooth production process.
