Optical Properties Of Sodium Fluoroborate Glasses Containing Pr3+ Ions For Red Luminescence

The luminescence properties of sodium fluoroborate (SFB) glasses containing different concentrations of Pr3+ ions were characterized through optical absorption, emission and decay measurements. From the measured intensities of various absorption bands of 1.0 mol% Pr3+ ions, the Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters were determined by including and excluding the 2H4>3P2 hypersensitive transition.
