Optical Characterization Of Fluorozirconate Glasses Using Laser Scattering Tomography (In French)

Laser Scattering Tomography (LST) is an optical, therefore a non-destructive investigation method with a high sensitivity. It was used for investigating the tridimensional distrubution of diffusing defects in various materials such as semiconductors, oxides and biological samples. The physical basis as well as the experimental set-up of this method are described in this paper. Results of the studies on fluoride glasses are shown in order to appreciate the influence of the processing parameters on the scattering properties of the materials.
